Gilbert Real Estate

Gilbert began as an agriculturally-based one square mile town in the late 1890s.  When the Arizona Eastern Railway built a line between Phoenix and Florence, the rail siding was established on property donated by Bobby Gilbert.    Today, Gilbert has made the transition from a farming community to an economically diverse suburban center in the Southeast Valley.  In 2010, Gilbert was recognized as the 36th Best Place to Live in the nation, as well as "one of the top places to live and learn" by GreatSchools.org.

Gilbert also gained national notoriety with it's Cosmo Dog Park when Dog Fancy Magazine named it "Dog Park of the Year" in 2007.  Being a relatively young and affluent community, Gilbert invests in environmentally concerned projects.  Being called both a "bicycle-friendly" and "tree-friendly" community, perhaps the crown jewel is the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch.  This 110 acre park is home to over 200 species of birds, has 4 1/2 miles of walking trails, and provides for fishing in the recreation lake.  For those preferring a more traditional park, Freestone Park covers 65 acres and offers picnic areas, basketball, volleyball, playground equipment, lakes and even a miniature train.

San Tan Village offers upscale shopping with over 100 stores and dozens of restaurants.  On a smaller scale, Gilbert Town Square offers many shops and restaurants as well as a 14 screen megaplex cinema.  In downtown Gilbert, the Hale Centre Theatre has a legendary heritage as the longest continuously running, privately owned and operated theatre company in America. Since 1947, when it first opened its doors, not one week has gone by when there has not been a performance on its stage.

As Gilbert has grown from it's rural history, the community has recognized the need to develop a strong, diverse economy while preserving its highly desirable quality of life.
