With about 300 days of sunshine a year, you are bound to find an activity that interests you. There are over 200 city parks that offer amenities such as picnic areas with grills, playgrounds, trails, soccer fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and more!

The city also has a large-scale desert preserve system that provides easy access to the Sonoran Desert and the unique wildlife within. Do you prefer the mountains to the desert? No problem! Phoenix also has over 25 hiking trails ranging from easy and kid friendly to difficult for even the experienced hiker. Don’t forget to check out the world-class golf courses, too!

Schools, Health, Transportation

Phoenix has a multitude of schools for parents to choose from. There are 325 public schools and more than 200 charter and private schools. Phoenix is also home to several colleges and universities including Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University College of Nursing & Health Sciences, and Arizona Christian University.

There are several hospitals in Phoenix including a St. Luke’s Hospital, Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, and a world-class children’s hospital (Phoenix Children’s Hospital).

It is easy to get around Phoenix as well with the numerous types of public transpiration offered such as buses, light rails, Downtown Area Shuttle (DAS), and taxis. Phoenix is also minutes from two major highways (I -10 and I-17).
